These Terms of Use govern the use of the “ScamScope” service by end users (“you”). By using ScamScope, you agree to these Terms.
ScamScope is an AI-powered analysis service that evaluates uploaded images and additional information to provide indications about the credibility of online profiles (for example, dating, social media or marketplace profiles).
The results are indicative and do not constitute any official identity verification or legal assessment. ScamScope is not a substitute for investigations by public authorities or law enforcement.
You agree in particular to:
ScamScope provides probabilities and risk assessments based on patterns in image and contextual data. Despite careful development, misclassifications, uncertainty or incomplete assessments may occur.
We do not guarantee that a profile classified as “low risk” is actually genuine, or that a profile classified as “high risk” is in fact fraudulent. The decision whether and how you interact with another person remains solely your responsibility.
Certain features (for example detailed reports, deeper analyses) are fee-based. Payments are processed via the payment service provider PayPal.
When you purchase a plan, you acquire a quota of analyses as described on the website. Prices and scope of services may be adjusted by us in the future, but the conditions displayed on the website at the time of purchase always apply to that purchase.
Refunds are only granted in clearly justified exceptional cases after individual review. Please contact support@scamscope.ai if you believe a refund is warranted.
We strive to make ScamScope available without interruption. However, there is no entitlement to continuous availability or specific response times. Maintenance, updates, technical issues or force majeure may lead to temporary limitations.
To the extent permitted by law, CEK Invest AG is only liable for damages caused by gross negligence or intent. Liability for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, is excluded.
In particular, CEK Invest AG is not liable for decisions that you make based on ScamScope’s assessments (for example starting or ending contact with a person, reporting a person, or entering into financial transactions).
The content of the website, its design, logos, trademarks, texts and the underlying software and models are protected by copyright and/or trademark law. Any reproduction, modification or distribution without our prior explicit consent is not permitted.
Information on the processing of personal data can be found in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
We may further develop ScamScope and add, change or remove features. We may also update these Terms of Use. The version published on the website at the time of your visit applies. In the event of material changes, we will provide appropriate notice.
These Terms of Use and your use of ScamScope are governed by Swiss law. To the extent permitted by law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of CEK Invest AG in the Canton of Obwalden, Switzerland.
